Established in 1922, MARKHURD provides complete photogrammetric engineering and digital mapping services to clients worldwide. MARKHURD is the Minneapolis regional production office of the largest photogrammetric firm in the United States. As such, we have the necessary resources to complete the largest and most technically challenging projects. MARKHURD has completed projects in every US State and 35 countries for local, regional and federal government agencies, utilities, and the private sector.

Mapping at MARKHURD originated over 50 years ago with the advent of photogrammetry, and, consequently, photogrammetric mapping is a basic element of the company. The most advanced equipment is utilized to handle all of our projects, from the smallest to the largest, to the most exacting of mapping standards.
Since our first photo project in 1922, we have continually added newer and better ways to deliver our products and services on time and in the most cost effective manner possible. Stereo plotters were added in the 1940's, digitizing and digital recording in 1957. Since then the company has continuously made significant commitments to its equipment and personnel.
Today, MARKHURD offers a wide range of professional services, including aerial photography, airborne GPS, complete photolab services, field surveying, analytical aerotriangulation, stereo compilation, digital terrain modeling, digital orthophotography, precision scanning, image processing, hard and softcopy deliverables as well as full GIS and AM/FM services.
Over the last several years, technological evolution has resulted in the convergence of the photogrammetric engineering and digital mapping sciences with integrated map-based information systems. MARKHURD recognized this as an opportunity to apply proven experience and high tech tools to facilitate use of these systems. Our approach to design of customized databases and automated functionality is both innovative and reliable. Evidence of this is our successful pursuit and completion of thousands of projects.
